Olivia is 5 years old

Olivia is 5 years oldToday is Olivia’s 5th birthday. If you get a chance leave a birthday message for her in the comments and we’ll make sure she gets the message. Included in this post are pictures of the birthday party on Saturday and some video as well!

Livy is such a wonderful girl! She enjoys life so much and is very happy and caring. She is always willing to help her sisters and loves to take care of them and play with them. Livy is enjoying going to preschool three days a week and loves the fact that Mya gets to come and get her from preschool since they both go to the same school!

Over the weekend Karina and Tim went to Las Vegas so we had Taylor, Lexi, and Jacob. Olivia and Jacob had a blast together! They love playing together and were practically inseparable all weekend. At one point they both came to me and said, “Please help us stop laughing we can’t stop…” They had been laughing about who know what for a few minutes and were having a blast.

We are proud of Olivia and ever so grateful she is part of our family. I remember this last summer when Olivia got lost at the hotel in Monterey, CA. She had hopped into an elevator and before I could get to it the door closed. She rode the elevator down and when it came back up she wasn’t on it! After a very scary 20 minutes we found Olivia with a nice couple that were trying to help her locate her family. The reason why I share this story is it is in moments like those 20 minutes when ones thinks about how important a loved one is and how truly special they are! Olivia is very special, as are all our children! That is what makes having a family so wonderful and such a great part of the plan of salvation!

For Olivia’s birthday party we had a Scooby Doo Theme. We played wrap the mummy (thus the toilet paper pictures), find the Scooby snack, and Scooby snack drop relay. We had friends from the neighborhood as well as cousins and kids from her primary class. Enjoy the pictures and video.

  1. Happy Birthday Olivia!! Well it looks like you had a scooby do of a birthday party. We too had a similar experience at a hotel where our little Gregory(now 21) got on the elevator and the doors closed and when the elevator came back it was empty! So we can really relate to your daddy’s story. Have a fantastic super duper happy birthday. Love, Uncle Paul and Aunt Niurka

  4. WOW! 5. In a few more years you will be 8 and your dad will be baptizing you. Time sure flies. I remember a sweet little girl not much older than Kennedy when I was there in 2005 (it was you!). You are a special spirit of our Father in heaven and he loves you. Sounds like with all the swet and good in you that you are on track to follow his plan. Glad you had a happy birthday. We love you.

  7. Hi Carrie and Mike,

Happy birthday to your cutie patootie. Looks like you and your family are doing fantastic. I am very happy for y’all. I completely forgot that Mike grew up in Susanville! Dan and I lived there for the first 1.5 years of our marriage (Dan was living and working there prior to our marriage too). Anyway, I am glad to have found your blog. Take care! 🙂
