Mya’s upcoming Baptism

30 Jul

Hey Everybody!

Mya is looking forward to her Baptism with great anticipation. We are all excited for her special day. What a wonderful, important decision she is making. Mike and I are very proud of her.
In preparation for this day, we had some pictures taken of beautiful Mya. We are at the Salt Lake Temple, although a few are taken at the Bountiful Temple.
Please enjoy all these shots of her. She wanted to share them with her family and friends, even though she is a little shy about doing so.
She will be baptized on September 5th, 2009 at 1:00 in the afternoon at the Woods Cross Stake Center. All are welcome!

Blue Mountain Lodge-Roberts Reunion

3 Jun

Vance Roberts at the Cabin We are getting ever closer to the Roberts Family reunion and hopefully everyone is still on board. It should be a wonderful opportunity to get to know one another better and to spend some quality time with Grandma and Grandpa Roberts. Get ready for some fun! A few of us have taken some liberties to help organize the event. Any and all input is definitely suggested. This is just a way to get the ball rolling on ideas and some discussion about how to make this work! (Post a comment or email us at carrie.lyman@gmail.com)

Kauai, Kauai, Kauai (Day 1)

6 Apr

Day 1 in KauaiCan I say anymore? There is a saying in kauai, “If you had a great time in Kauai, tell your friends you went to Maui”. Kauai is such a gorgeous place with so many great beaches and awesome hidden away utopias. However, Kauai is not as touristy as Oahu or Maui. We had such a great time. We experienced a lot, yet it was so leisurely. There were breathtaking views at every turn and the ocean was a clear blue and turquoise. Most of the vegetation there was introduced to the island, but most of it was for medicinal or food purposes. All of it is beautiful. The Hawaiian islands are so rich with history; we loved learning more about it and becoming connected with the people there. One other thing that was a bit odd at first and then just became normal was that there were chickens and roosters everywhere. The hurricane in 1992 released them and they just keep reproducing. There is no predator for them and frankly, I thought it was kind of cool. Although, we still didn’t want any roosters right by us.

FedEx doorbell ditcher

7 Feb

fedex guyOkay, now it is my turn to actually post something. I keep wanting to, but I’m not finding the time. I also have a tendency to need to write everything in a good, flowing format; and no grammatical errors. This stops me from simply writing my thoughts and not worrying about how it looks. I am working on this. Also, Mike and I typically discuss what we should put on the site and he does it. Anyway, I want to share a few funny stories concerning our children. I always love to hear about the funny things kids say and do.

Our doorbell rang the other day (more…)
